6/15/2023 0 Comments Plex anime server![]() I see people with these DIY budget builds that transcode 4k and I wonder why I have such issues with 720p and 1080p files. Plex is one of the most popular user generated streaming service available so it only makes sense for Shoko, one of the best Anime cataloging programs to. I have been considering going all out on a dedicated PLEX Server, but my knowledge is limited atm and the more I google, the more I see conflicting opinions on “best builds”. ![]() Is it just the CPU or GPU is too old or maybe not compatable with Plex Transcoding?ĭo I not have enough RAM? Is the RAM too slow? So my main question would be… Why is this happening? Where is the bottleneck? Or if it’s a setting, what would I change it to? ![]() Streams do work better on the PC than the Xbox One or the PS4, but I am not sure why that would be the case if the ‘server’ is the one doing the transcoding. srt files, but rather ripped into the MKV container. Often with Anime I end up having to back out of a stream, re-enter, backout, re-enter several times in order for it to finally work for a Japanese Audio/English Subtitle 720p or 1080p MKV container. I experience a lot of buffering/and a lot of issues when it comes to MKV files with English Subtitles. Media Clients: PS4, Xbox One, Tablets, and PC.
